CARBINE. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 991685. Bbl 20" rnd. Pinned high profile blade front sight, with original carbine rear sight. Full length mag. Blue finish. Action has staple fastened saddle ring on left side. Band fastened carbine forearm and straight grip stock, with steel carbine buttplate. Mfg. in 1928. CONDITION: over 80% bright original blue, showing edge and carry wear, with scratches and rub marks on bbl. and forearm band. Receiver shows spots of flaking and light wear. Lightly worn original wood finish shows minor scratches and small marks. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright, with strong rifling, showing a few small spots of very light pitting. (25-1747/DS).
